This is, predictably, a beautiful album. What a consistent artist. This doesn’t really add a lot to his repertoire of sound, but he’s locked in and the quality isn’t degrading. That last like minute and half of Long Throw is so dreamy

Seeing him tonight for the first time!

 

He was so freaking good tonight. Katy Kirby was an awesome opener as well! The show was sold out and everyone was going wild the whole time lol, the energy was a lot for how chill his music is.

 

Also gotta shout out the artist who does the chalkboard when you walk up to the venue @ Thalia Hall. This portrait is unreal.

 

Caught him life tonight as part of his solo tour. It was great! Different vibe than full band (the only other time I saw him) but still really good. I feel like he is underrated on here and all the people who fuck with like, Waxahatchee or Hurray for the Riff Raff or Adrianne Lenker would be very into his music. He is probably one of our best modern lyricists IMHO.
