Still feeling a little underwhelmed by this batch of songs. "Stars" is the only one I think is great.

 

I love "Stars" (especially live!) and I am a huge fan of "Built to Last." The songs released so far kind of give me a very weird Glass Passenger (mostly for the middle of the album tbh) meets Pop Underground vibe.

 

"Built to Last" is nice. I get a "Zombies on Broadway, but the hooks aren't as good" feeling from most of these songs.

 

I got that too. Like, it's also part of his musical evolution, but at the same time it's really weird to think about this being the first fourth album for any of his projects.

Hoping for a few songs I connect with. So far only really like Stars.

Yeah, this one ain't for me either. The more modern, clean pop production drops a bit of what I enjoy about his music. Oh well, I really like "Skywriting" and "Stars" (minus the chorus) so I'll still give the album a chance when it comes out.

 

Fuck yea. Give me all the Andrew songs.

Oh shit! There’s going to be a weekend in 2024 where Soco, Jack’s, and AMITW will play together. Holy shit, I need to be there.

Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since they played a headline set with the OG crew. Can’t believe I’m watching this right now.

 

This is great. Fair to assume the Soco/Jm/Amitw show will be a dear jack foundation event?

 

I’m sure they’ll be involved, but it doesn’t seem like it would be replacing the 11/11 benefit show.

There’s only two albums, so of course they’re playing a lot of North. But hearing so many North songs makes me so happy. I’m used to just getting one North era song from Andrew. Obviously, this is not a standard Andrew set haha but my North loving heart is so full.

The lil dance Josh did towards the end of If You C Jordan was clearly just pure joy for him. Loved to see it.
