ha those are two im not crazy about off zombies. I think the stretch from So Close to Shot Out of a Cannon is top notch.
Andrew played a few solo sets last week and he played a new song at at least one of them. Someone said it’s called On the Hood of Your Car on setlist.fm. I found this video of it. Since it’s a solo set, who knows what it’ll sound like on the album. But thought it was worth sharing.
I was so bummed to hear about that solo show at the last minute. He mentioned having a solo show in Boston on Friday Instagram, so I went into detective mode. Found a dead link to a contest for tickets through a local radio station- I follow them on Facebook, am on their mailing list, etc, and I NEVER heard them mention it. I immediately reached out to the station, the venue, and Andrew, with no luck, lol
For anyone in Central California, he's playing a solo free show at Tioga Sequoia Brewing in Fresno on Thursday the 8th, admission is a toy donation.
Great setlist tonight in Fresno, super fun intimate show. Played a few that don't get played super often(Me and the Moon!)
I’m sure it’ll grow on me- it seems like the kind of AM song that would pull me right in, but it hasn’t clicked yet. Stars is still the best of the bunch for me.
I’m not one to complaint about “too many singles” as I can just not listen to them, but.. 5 songs and no album announcement is new to me!
I’m pretty nervous about this one. I listened to the first 3 and like I said before, didn’t hate them but definitely didn’t love them. Not really interested in an album in the vein of those songs. Also not a fan of the rollout with all the singles and no album announcement. Gonna hold off on listening to anymore singles and I adore Andrew, so I’m still hopeful. Just a little nervous.
I like the songs, but it's the classic problem for me of them feeling homeless. I never listen to them unless I'm listening to a playlist I put those songs on.
Yeah this is the side of trickling out songs by themselves, they fall through the cracks of sorts. I really like the lyrical content and the songs in general though. Seems very nostalgia/married life focussed. Hope they are part of a whole album, which I’m sure he’s confirmed. I hope it’s more than 10 songs though!
No, that’s just how the songs released so far are now grouped on streaming. It’ll be a full album when he announces it.
