He played I'm Ready in Baltimore but said it was a request from a fan he met before the show who reminded him of his dad. Said they hadn't practiced it but decided to give it a shot, so not sure if that one will turn up again on the tour.
Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness Setlist at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre, Charlotte Pretty standard set for the tour with a couple change ups. We got Me and the Moon and The Resolution. Also, instead of the Distance, they played It’s the End of the World as we know it. Andrew said they didn’t really practice it. He did stop it to start over during the first verse. He was inspired to play it because this was an outdoor amphitheater tonight and it reminded him of his second concert ever at a similar venue. It was REM, so that’s why he switched it up.
Here’s Me and the Moon from last night. You can find Hurricane, Holiday From Real, I Woke Up In A Car, and Stars on my channel. The night in Leeds he mentions is actually a really cool story. I got to hear it in 2019 at a VIP experience. I’ll post it here if anyone is interested.
We got Me and the Moon as well. My wife was very excited. I say they do this annually and do different album plays each year. Hell I could just go to the same show every summer and hear the same songs. We’ve finally reached the status of my parents generation who’d see the Doobie Brothers and Chicago play every summer.
Just found out that Andrew is playing a one off less than 90 minutes away tonight. It somehow never came across any of my feeds and it didn’t show up on Ticketmaster because it’s not the hello gone days tour but a radio show of some sort done through another site. I may have to go despite not having brought a change of clothes for after work for the show.
I’m parked at the show. Just kind of killing time. Doors only opened at 7. There are two openers I’ve never heard about so I don’t even care about them. I assume starting at 8. Andrew won’t be on until like 10. Oof. It’s a weekday. I have to work tomorrow. Why wouldn’t they do doors at 6? I’m getting too old for this but I’ll rest when I’m dead. I’m sitting here trying to figure out why I didn’t hear about this show. Like, how did I miss a show this close to me being announced? And I can’t find a single mention of it on any Andrew social media. It’s on his site, so it’s an actual show haha I didn’t get fooled by some random site or anything. But I don’t see any promo for it. Is that normal these days? Why wouldn’t he promote it? It’s not a private event or anything.

Went nuts for my birthday and bought the Jacks’s albums on vinyl along with Zombies and Upside Down Flowers. Now I have all but the SoCo stuff which is way way overpriced right now.
Zombies wasn’t that bad. Upside Down Flowers is a little pricey. I already had self titled so not sure on that. It’s all dirt cheap compared to SoCo.
Self titled is my favorite of the solo albums so that is probably what I’d want first, but guessing that’s a little harder to come by but I haven’t really looked.
Glad I bought all those Wilderness records right when they came out and didn't have to go back and do it after the fact/wait for reissues. The Jack's Mannequin albums were on my "white whale" list for years.
Yeah, I think those two (Passenger and People & Things) aren't too tough to find now. The former got repressed in 2018, the latter last year. Before that, though, both of those were as expensive as Everything In Transit.
Everything In Transit is only 27 dollars on Amazon currently with an estimated arrival of next week. Through i-deals but i’ve used them before with no issues.
I've got two copies of EIT (5-year edition and 10-year edition) and the first pressing is always gonna be a white whale for me. The music on vinyl version of The Glass Passenger isn't bad, and I guess I need to get People+Things and be salty that my horrible ex never got it on vinyl for me (even though he swore he did and it was the cd). As for Andrew's solo works, I've got all three of the records on wax so far, along with The Canyons EP. One day I'll own Leaving Through The Window. I have a copy of North and that's good enough for me for now.
I forgot that one got a repress a year or two ago as well. I've had North for a long time. Actually the first Andrew album I had on vinyl. Leaving Through the Window is the one I don't have, and I've yet to see anything remotely reasonable, price-wise.
