    Island Radio is great.

Not sure if it’s an error or not, but Amazon currently has his book listened for $3.77 hardcover!

Damn, I bought it a few months ago for $8 and thought that was too low to pass up. It's a great read, if you haven't read it yet don't pass it up for that price!

What do you mean? I’m fairly confident last night was the first night of the tour. I don’t think any stops missed out.

Also, I said fuck it and bought a ticket for the Charlotte show on 8/20. It’s a 9 hour drive, but it’s a Saturday so I’ll drive all day, go to the show, crash at a hotel, and drive him Sunday, not missing any work.

Looks like Andrew is closing that night, so that’s sick. I’m kind of bummed I’m missing Armor by a week. But Cartel is great, too. I’ve just seen them a few times, while I’ve only seen Armor once.

Went through this post and then saw the comments about my hot take haha. I still stand by it overall, but I’m maybe more into seeing that song live just for the sake of seeing it now.

Yeah kinda bummed there are no Upside Down Flowers songs on there. But I guess this is kinda supposed to be a "nostalgia" esque tour celebrating the early days of 3rd wave emo/pop punk/etc, so. I guess a lot of the older songs make sense

When I saw him last November someone shouted for it and he all but berated them saying he wouldn't play it anymore, which seemed shocking given the nature of that tour.

But then he did an impromptu version of "Drunk Girl" (acknowledging the problematic nature of the lyrics and giving some more backstory about the song) which was something I never thought I'd see.

that’s exactly what I meant, but didn’t know it just started yesterday. You are so wise, you’re like a miniature Buddha covered in hair.

Does he have someone playing guitar on this tour?

Are Andrew and dashboard switching spots each night? Any way to tell who’s playing last each night? I have tickets for the NYC show but I don’t think I’ll make it if Andrew’s not last

  17. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

Whoever is billed first should be playing last.

So if it's Andrew McMahon & Dashboard Confessional, Andrew should be headlining. If it's Dashboard Confessional & Andrew McMahon, Dashboard should be headlining

I was going through setlist from the 10-12 times I’ve seen him in various incarnations and realizing I’ve never seen him do a single People and Things song. Fucking weird

The tour has only done one show so far, so it could change, but that's how I believe it will go.

Looks like it’s only one song additional for the headliner based on the first show they did. Could change obviously. So worried my dates gonna get rained out.

They are doing Emo Nite at Asbury Lanes after the show but it shows it only running from 10-11:30. That seems kind of short. Anyone ever been to an LA Emo Nite and know how long they run?

CT show was excellent. He played Cavanaugh Park, which he said they haven’t played on this tour yet.

Also ended the set with La La Lie, as one of his former guitarists was there and came out to play with them (didn’t catch his name!)
Cecilia came out for it too and it was the cutest thing.

Interesting venue choices on this tour. It looks like they played 6-8k capacity venues in a couple of random cities, but for the NYC show tomorrow (probably the largest market on the tour) they're only doing a 3.5k cap venue. It sold out in minutes and the secondary market is wild right now.
Odd, because they could've easily done Central Park (5k) or Prospect Park (6k), and I'm pretty sure both those venues are cheaper to book.

CT was wildly undersold. Not sure what the capacity of the venue was. But they were offering pit upgrades for $10 at the door and is still say the pit wasn’t even half full.
