After my clear vinyl got canceled by Amazon, I pre-ordered the black vinyl that was also on Amazon. Now they canceled that too. Wonderful.
Did you order Glass Passenger from B&N? That’s where I ordered it from and it got canceled 2 days ago lol
I've noticed a recent trend where a bunch of retailers put up preorders for limited vinyl pressings seemingly without regard for how many copies they will actually be receiving (if any). Maybe this has been happening for a while, but it seems to me to have become more of an issue in the last few months. I ordered Glass Passenger through DeepDiscount and as soon as the release date came and went without any change in my order status I canceled and bought from somewhere else with verified stock. Sure enough before my cancelation even went through I got an email that the item was on backorder, which seems in the vast majority of cases to mean "this order will never be fulfilled, but we're still going to hold on to your money for a bit longer."
I preordered both via Amazon (Music to Vinyl) and the EIT was supposed to be delivered on the day it canceled. Not surprised, but yeah, seems like a poor system if it is truly a limited stock first come first serve... they should have pulled it from pre-order or not have even done one and just put up the item for sale when it was actually produced. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but nevertheless, at least I got one of the two I preordered
It looks like there's a Music on Vinyl "People and Things" repress! https://www.hhv.de/shop/en/item/jac...d-things-orange-vinyl-edition-823516?p=YJ8U1F
Wow, crazy that he never had a gold record. Gonna listen to EIT today in celebration! Reminds me that I still need to track down this and Glass Passenger on vinyl.
