He said in the stream this has been done for almost a year, and he has a bunch like it he doesn’t know what to do with. I want to hear them all.
He also said they are trying to do an east coast drive in show. If it’s here in Massachusetts I’m there.
I'm late, but Get on My Wave is my favourite thing he's put out in a minute. Think i listened 10x in a row. Fantastic. Kinda reminded me of Weezer White album.
I'd be totally willing to make the trip from PA for this. Looking at the finer print on the venue's website, it sounds like everyone has to stay in their cars with windows down only. No sitting outside your car or in the bed of a pickup or something. Believe me, I understand and appreciate the need for safe distancing and practices, but for anyone who saw the stream of the CA shows, this wasn't the case. It seemed like people had enough space to sit outside their cars in chairs or in trucks / vehicle roofs. So, now I'm really torn... I've cried so much about missing live music, so it feels like a shame to pass on this opportunity. On the other hand, I'm not sure I want to sit inside a car with windows down on a hot, humid August night. Not to mention if I end up parked behind some massive vehicle I can't see around? So sorry... not trying to just rant here. Just curious what other people's thoughts may be and whether they heard anything different about the accommodations?
I feel your pain, trust me! Was going to try to go as well but after reading the fine print, it just didn’t seem worth it. Also not sure if I’m comfortable staying in a hotel out of state yet, either. I’d also be in my car, alone, which just seems awkward, and expensive! The front bottoms show at the same venue is $160 per car. I miss concerts so damn much, and Andrew is my favorite artist- I’ve seen him 30+ times since the something Corporate days. But just don’t think I can handle this show.
I'm honestly glad I'm not the only one put off by this arrangement! I really hate to just sound like a grump about it because I really want to support anyone who is trying to creatively & safely put on live music. But it all just seems like it may add up to a lot of uncomfortable hassle that would detract from the music experience itself. I feel the same way about AM's music... He's easily one of the artists I've seen live the most number of times through all his musical iterations. So, it sucks that this is so (relatively) close to me, but probably not worth attending.
Does anyone have the presale code for tickets tomorrow morning?... the mailing list isnt emailing me back.... thanks in advance!
