I think it's mine as well. Everything in Transit is a close second.

Island Radio was my favourite song on the album

So Close was definitely one of the more well received ones in Boston. It sounded great, too. Also enjoyed hearing Love and Great Buildings.

Listened to "I Woke Up In A Car" this morning and its funny how much it just sounds like his solo stuff now

I was sad that we didn't get "Love and Great Buildings" in Chicago a few weeks ago. That and "Brooklyn . . ." were the only ones from the new album he didn't play.

He played that at our show – it was the only SoCo song – and it fit pretty seamlessly in the set.

Pretty sure the only new one we didn't get was Birthday Song. He's been swapping that one and LAGB. Hopefully next time we'll get that one!

  8. Sweet! Waited too long to grab tickets to the DC show this Friday and it sold out. Now I can catch him in Baltimore, which is more convenient for me anyway.

That video just makes me happy. I'm gonna try to get to his show in GR this summer. I can't imagine it'd anything less than a blast.

They are playing where the Indians play so it makes sense Cleveland sold out pretty quick. I'm sure Lambeau has an extra seat or two haha. Are you going, or just your parents?

Still holding out that he might get added to the Boston Billy Joel show. If I put it out into the universe enough, it just might happen, haha

Yeah, I don't know how they did it up your way, but the Cleveland show went on sale as just Billy Joel as part of a series of shows at Jacobs Field. Billy pricing is always steep and rightfully so. The thing was pretty close to a sell out by the time Andrew even got announced as the opener, but I think he did help push it over the top quicker. I'm so happy for him even if it's only a few shows. For his line of work as a pop rock guy, Billy and Elton John are the biggest names.

The old Lavar Ball speak it into the universe approach. I respect it haha.

I hope you actually do come in for it and you can enjoy our nice city. I'd be more than happy to give you recommendations on things to do. You're a teacher, you have the time to make it a fun mini trip.

Hah yeah my girlfriend and I are making a little two-day jaunt of it in the summer. We figure when else would we be in Cleveland and every major city has to be worth exploring for two days, right? She adamantly wants to see the A Christmas Story house and I want to see the Rock Hall, but we could def use some recs on can't-miss stuff to visit.
