Maybe the wording I should have used is, it is "less-rock" than those two.

Either way, I've loved everything he's put out.

 

You can really feel Butch Walker's influence on "Teenage Rockstars" and it's everything I hoped it would be.

 

Also, is it just me or does the album version of "Ohio" on Apple Music sound a little different than the single version? No big changes, maybe just some tweaks here and there?

 

I kind of hear it too especially in the intro

 

Can't believe it took this long for two of my all-time faves to work together.

Now that it's here, I'm fuckin' ready -- both songs are absolute beauties.

re-listened to Teenage Rockstars on the car speakers on lunch and I enjoyed it a little more, I will for sure give the album a listen and may check out his Long Island date in February. For people who know, does he play anything from SoCo or JM on the tours or is it strictly AMITW material?

 

I really enjoyed the first In The Wilderness record, wasn’t huge on the last one. Although Love and Great Buildings is one of my favorite songs by Andrew.

What I love most about Everything in Transit is how pure power pop it is. I don't think the first Wilderness record is such a huge leap from the JM stuff, either, and these new songs hearken back to Passenger/People & Things to my ears. Zombies is probably his most mainstream-leaning pop sound, but he's always had that influence.

 

I gotta go to the San Diego show.

 

Bummed that the only Baltimore/DC date is sponsored by a local radio station and has Andrew as direct support for Bastille. If it was a normal tour date I would definitely be going (I really like that Grizfolk album too), but I don't think I'll be shelling out for this show.

There's a gap in the 2019 dates. I imagine he's likely to add a Silver Spring date after the DC show.

 

The drums sound different to me in the chorus

 

It’s definietly a slightly different mix of “Ohio.” Wonder why. The two different versions are on Spotify too. Could hear it in the lead vocal effects especially

At this point my two favorite Andrew albums are probably EIT and AMITW. That’s so hard though because every single thing he’s put out has been extremely important to me. One of the most consistent artists I could think of.

 

In fact, I actually like the first one (single version) better. The vocals and drums sound much better.
