I went through Sound of Vinyl because I wasn’t sure what would happen with Amazon.

I’m pretty sure that one was sold out by the time I saw it. Fingers crossed Amazon works out for me at some point! My Glass Passenger arrived, though I know a few weren’t as lucky…

I think I ordered Glass Passenger from Amazon too, though I grabbed the 2018 pressing and not last year's. Anyway, yes, fingers crossed on your behalf!

I think it's interesting that this is the third tour in a row where he's coming to Charlottesville. I would've thought he would go to Richmond instead just to mix things up, but I'm not complaining.

But then I come back to this quote of his (from the transcript when I interviewed him forever and a day ago) where he said:
"I never anticipated Charlottesville would be such an awesome market for us. The vibe is great! We did it on the last run [during the Pen and the Piano tour], and it surprised me how well the show did. I’m excited that we’re going to get to come back for this."

Yeah, I talked to him about it at the last tour and he really fell in love with the venue and the energy of the crowd. I don’t know what it is that makes such a difference, but those shows are so so much more fun than the Richmond ones. Can’t wait to see him there again.

He’s on the rescheduled Rock Boat that date so it’s being shifted to 11/13. I think the assumption is it will be in Florida somewhere.

PHEW. My People and Things record shipped and will be here Monday. Stoked.

Also- how’s Camp Wilderness been? Want to subscribe but worry it won’t be worth it. I know it just started up, but curious how it’s going.

  19. has anyone launched anything like a "club" that's been absolutely incredible? I guess my sister was into the LP Underground in the early-mid 2000s?

im not sure that incredible is the right word, but I feel like the Nationals cherry tree membership is worth the money for fans of the band that also buy records. Also have enjoyed the $5 tier of Manchester Orchestra’s Patreon

Meant to say, the show was absolutely beautiful the other night. He did such a fantastic job of going through the story of his career through the 3 eras, and it really made me realize how much his music has meant to me over the last 20 years.

Can’t wait to read the book.
