Red Rocks was a religious experience, and I highly recommend going to one of these if you're a massive AM fan like me. Unfortunately don't think I'll be making it to any of these, but also don't think any of them could top how Red Rocks was for me.

Plus, there may be other opportunities to see Andrew and a piano coming at some point... :eyes:

We may get tickets to the Philly show at the Mann

John // OC now, OH forever.

I grabbed four for Long Beach. Couldn't justify the VIP, but upper reserved seemed pretty reasonable at $65 each (plus the $10 for Pillar).

  4. My brother in law saw Susto there last year and said it's a really neat, intimate venue. Might try for tickets since it would be awesome to see Andrew there.

Grabbed tickets for Philly and then making a little Chicago trip out of it seeing the show again less than a week later

...because I'm me, I've been contemplating snagging one of the cheap seats in Philly.

Granted Philly tickets. Lawn seats at the Mann in the summer is a no brainier.

Update. My dumb ass just bought a box seat at Philly. Was $70 so if I don’t make it, not the end of the world. Buuuuut it would be my 40th Andrew show on my 40th birthday weekend

something I haven't given many listens to is the re-recordings of Letter from Noelle and Wait from the Something Corporate greatest hits comp. I revisited recently and think Letters came out really, really great but Wait definitely feels off

I miss when Brian used to sing Wait when they played it at shows.

Any of you ever heard this before? First time for me, I did a deep dive of any Andrew demos I've never heard and arrived here

  18. I remember this one and Wrecking Ball Heart being put out there right around the end of the JM era, but this isn't one I really ever see mentioned anymore

Wrecking Ball Heart was officially released though, right? As their "final" song? This one only seems to have ever existed through leaks/trading

  20. Andrew McMahon of Jack’s Mannequin
On this record you had a couple older songs, like “Hey Hey Hey,” end up on it, and then you released some bonus tracks of older material. Is the Jack’s Mannequin vault now getting fairly empty or is there still more stuff stowed away?

There’s a few still hiding out. There’s stuff that I don’t even know about. I’ll open up a session just about any time I get a chance and put something down, whether I even finish, or get past the first couple lines, or a verse or a chorus or whatever. A lot of that represents the best of the catalogue that’s in the vault that we have.

There is a tune that we mixed that didn’t come out with this stuff called “Balloons.” It’s actually a favorite of mine from these bizarro sessions we did ahead of The Glass Passenger that also the song “Cell Phone” came from. That song “Out of It” that you hear on the Best Buy version is from that as well. So one day that will see the light of day, I’m sure. There’s a pretty good amount of the vault out there, though.

Cool to see Andrew McMahon take a stand against ticket scalpers, especially in my neck of the woods:
