Snagged some merch tonight at the preshow event, and am already in bed! I'm elder.
I'm attending the Dear Jack Picnic event tomorrow at 1:30, and they suggested parking in the Lower South lot for the event.
Now I'm torn on whether to just park there, or try and park in the other lot mentioned.

  3. If you guys are getting into the venue early and have seats in the first few rows, then upper south is better because it gets you into the venue at the stage. Upper north gets you at the top of the amphitheater so you can walk down to your seat which is much easier than walking up. Lower north has a shorter walk to the stairs but it’s straight up from there. Lower south is miserable and they have a shuttle to that one because it’s so bad haha.

That version of "The Astronaut" felt career-defining. Jesus Christ, Andrew.

Just got back. Holy hell what an experience. He played 3 1/2 hours with only about a 15 minute break (and 2 cover songs by William Tell)

Truly the best show I’ve ever been to.

I say the following knowing that the experience of going to Red Rocks and seeing this all live would have been an incredible time and I say this to cope with having to sell my ticket. And I don’t say this to say anything negative about the set or show, as it is still an awesome set with some of his best songs.

But, I’ve seen all those songs live before multiple times. I’ve been super lucky to have seen Andrew like 15 times in the past 6 years, including the cruise. Not going was a pure financial decision and I feel better about it now based on the set. I was pretty bummed the last week or so about missing out. Andrew is a top 5 songwriter to me, so even a set with no deep cuts (for me, at least) is still a great set, but I am relieved I didn’t foolishly go and put it all on a credit card.

I’m glad I still get to see the stream. I had to go to bed partway through the SoCo portion. Gotta work this morning now. I hope I was able to articulate my complicated feelings about this without making anyone who went feel bad. With all this said, I’m still jealous of anyone who got to go! I’m just feeling relieved about the decision I made to not go.

  13. Weather couldn’t have been better. We left during Stars to beat traffic and I was worried he might play MFEO for the encore so I’m glad he didn’t haha.

i’ve been meaning to tell you

i was never a really an andrew mcmahon fan, i somehow missed the boat on something corporate, and only knew the big singles for jacks and the wilderness stuff. but my best friend is a huge fan, so i was down to go since his husband hates concerts. the show was awesome, you could tell andrew was super appreciative of the crowd and the energy and all his bandmates. the format with the mini sets and interludes was really cool and well done. i had a great time.

and i'm usually a red rocks hater but besides having to hike uphill about 20 minutes, it really wasn't too bad. we got there at 6:45 and got seats in like row 15. the weather was perfect and it wasn't too windy so the sound was pretty good!

It made me laugh when Jacks left the stage and it transitioned to the Wilderness portion of the show and all of the same band members came back out

    Newbie

One of the highlights was Will and Brian doing a completely serious acoustic rendition of Thong Song to kick off that portion of the show
