That's what I mean. I'll prolly just wait til this hits record stores to pick up because $15 shipping bringing a singular record to $45 is a lot. For a 2xLP i'd be cool with that, but it's just one record.

 

Totally agreed. I can’t guarantee it’ll ever show up in a shop near me. So I just did it. Not happy about it though haha

Been a while since a first impressions thread

 

Having only listened to "skywriting," and "built to last" once -- I once again am very happy with my choices to not listen to singles before hearing an album in full. This rules. Very full and big sounding, opposite of the last album in that regard.

 

I liked the more reigned in sound on the last album. But I also like his stuff in this vein.

 

The only single that’s stuck with me thus far is Lying On the Hood Of Your Car.

I’m waiting to revisit the rest of the singles again until the full album is out.

I’m also very much looking forward to the Chain Reaction show in a month or so. It’ll be my first time at the venue and the smallest room I’ve ever seen him in (although come to think of it there was barely anybody there at the first AMITW show I saw back in 2014).

 

I'm sure it's been said in here before, but Stars absolutely slaps live. I'm sure the others do too, but Stars is the only one I've gotten to experience live ha.

There are 6 songs from the album on streaming now. There are 5 that haven’t been released. Hopefully it stays that way.

 

Dang, my apple music account only has 5 songs on there right now. Lying, Skywriting, Stars, VHS, and Nobody.

 

There is another called Built To Last. The current thought on why it’s not showing on the album for Apple is that the album version is slightly different from the one that was released a couple months ago. But here’s the video for it.
