There were def songs in orlando that some people didn’t know. Generally the newer songs. Everything Must Go and Ohio and Blue Vacation come to mind. I knew the words, and so did a lot of people. But it was noticeably quieter during some songs.

I went to the Niagara Falls date so it’s cool to see it’s not just one date like that. When I’d see him do Wilderness sets like 3-4 years ago, people knew the songs on the radio but it would be pretty quiet during the Jack’s or SoCo stuff. Now it seemed like everyone knew songs from all over his career.

 

Just got floor GA tickets for $14 for tomorrows show on StubHub. Super excited.

 

Wish I would’ve known this venue had a coat rack. That was a cold walk.

 

We got Me and the Moon last night.

Which is hilarious because my friend and I were talking earlier that evening about how that’s one song of his we never want to hear again, lol

 

Hahaha for some reason that song never fully clicked with me. My least favorite on North by a large margin.

 

I had literally been saying if he was going to play that song anywhere, it was Boston. For some reason he ALWAYS plays it here. And being up in the 30s for AM shows, I'm just... over that song. Definitely my least favorite on North. My friend and I feel like we are the only ones who can't stand it.

 

How can that be anyone’s least favorite when I Won’t Make You exists??

I still love North so much though. Over the years I’ve finally heard most of it through solo shows and that’s so satisfying. Getting As You Sleep on Pen & Piano was perfect.

 

I was so happy when he played Miss America at the second Coach House show in CA in 2017. Never ever thought I'd hear that song again.

 

Last night was one of the best shows I've ever been to

 

The crowd was pretty respectful, too. Real quiet when he was talking in between songs, too.
Seeing the show last night made all my regrets about going again on Friday disappear, haha

 

“Your life is over” yelled by that fan was kind of sad when talking about his kid.

 

Huh?

 

Count me among those that can stand it, but would choose the majority of his stuff over it.

 

I Won’t Make You is good.

 

My show is finally next week. It will also be my 20th Andrew show. Everyone raving about this tour has me hyped.

 

Don’t know why I missed this, but it’s the worst song on that album by a huge margin. Most of his lyrics will stand the test of time, but that one is just creepy and not up to the standard of the rest of it. North still tops EIT for me for nostalgic reasons, but it isn’t flawless.

The verses are fine, it’s the chorus and the intention of the song that is an issue. Musically it’s as good as the rest of the album.

 

So after going to CT and winning decent money at the casino, my friend and I are now at a hotel in Clifton Falls and heading to the N.Y. show later tonight...

Also, soundcheck was fantastic yesterday.
We got television, cavanaugh Park, Zac Clark got to perform a song, and we got Ruthless.

 

Fuck yea! Enjoy the show! I wish I could go to another one. Those 2 hours flew by and also felt like it kept going and going.

 

Tonight they added She Paints Me Blue back to the setlist.
We also got Halls.
HOWEVER. The Astronaut was supposed to be in the encore but they cut it.
They did a wonderful version of Careless in its place but they did it in CT as well.
Still, a lovely show.
