Singer-songwriter Andrew McMahon announces his Fall tour Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness: Three Pianos Tour with support from Zac Clark. The 32 city US headline tour kicks off September 26th in Las Vegas, NV at House of Blues and ends December 2nd in Los Angeles, CA at the Belasco. Tickets go on sale next Friday, June 18th and can be purchased here: www.andrewmcmahon.com/tour/.

McMahon’s debut memoir, Three Pianos, will be published by Princeton Architectural Press on October 26th, 2021. Three Pianos takes readers through McMahon’s quintessentially American story of realizing his dreams, set against the backdrop of life’s darkest challenges. From a childhood defined by his father’s struggle with addiction to his very public battle with leukemia in 2005 at the age of twenty-three -- as chronicled in the intensely personal documentary Dear Jack -- Andrew McMahon’s Three Pianos is an ode to life, love and music. The weirdness we are emerging from has left its mark on all of us and I have been dreaming of the day we could gather in rooms again and shake off its effects together. I will be traveling light this time, surrounded by a small group of friends, performing a set of songs that for me are like mile markers on the map of my life. I spent my time away from the world writing a book, trying to understand more fully who I am and where I came from. I can think of no better time than now, the anniversary of 20 years on tour, to assemble my work on a stage and do what I can to share that history with you through my songs and stories. Like my book, this tour will be called Three Pianos, and while I can’t bring all three of them on the road with me, I hope to channel the wonderful and bizarre affection I have for their place in my world. Any time I embark on some new and public adventure I am filled with fear of the unknown, but if I have learned anything from tours like The Pen and the Piano, from first leaps onto rubber ducks or out on to dance floors beneath parachutes, it is worth taking chances. I am crafting this show with the knowledge it may be the first many of you have attended in a very long time. That comes with pressure, but from that pressure I hope to make something cathartic and worthy of your trust in me. The lights are coming back on, let's sing together beneath them.” - Andrew McMahon

McMahon hasn’t let the pandemic slow him down. He has two shows coming up in Detroit on June 18-19 and last year he headlined a tour of drive-in shows presented by Nederlander Concerts in Anaheim, CA, Monmouth Park, NJ Austin, TX and Chicago, IL celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Jack’s Mannequin album Everything in Transit. He also released his newest track “New Year Song” produced by Suzy Shinn on the first of this year as well as “Get On My Wave” produced by King Tuff last summer.

McMahon is currently in the studio working on new music.
