Didn’t have Mon Mothma drunk dancing to a space house version of “Let It Happen” under a disco ball on my bingo card.
Got through one and two last night, but was too tired for the third (plus I saw Sinners earlier and still had it on my mind, so wanted to give ep3 more space). Loved them both. The rebel factions were fucking hilarious and a great example of of leftist infighting when there’s no leadership structure. Cassian’s mishaps flying the Tie were also great. I’m glad they aren’t instantly making him just great at everything. It was nice to cut the tension after his chats with the spy. I did not get a recap in front of the first episode. So I was kind of lost with some of the characters in the Mon Mothma arc. Still, I’m loving what’s going on there. Dad Mothma is such a dweeb. The moment Mon had with her daughter crying was so devastating. The Ghorman planning was well done. There’s a few characters in there who seem like they’re appalled by what Krennic is proposing at first, but the longer it goes on it’s clear they’re all more concerned about the logistics and how it’ll effect they’re positions. Especially Dedra, it seems like she’s going to object, but nope. Just had a better plan to occupy this place.
I only ended up watching two episodes. We'll do episode 3 tonight. We wanted to just do one episode a night, but we weren't strong enough. lol.
'I will guarantee a level of engagement but it will be inversely proportional to the volume of anxiety you generate in our lives.' Can't wait to say that to my nephews
Did the same thing. Stayed up way too late and feel like I need to rewatch anyway lol. like I have no idea what’s going on with the mon mothma plot
I don't know what is going on with the Mon Mothma arc but I love it. The costume design and shots during the Chandrilla stuff was so good. We didn't get much of it but the fash romance stuff was fascinating.
Tay is a financial.guy and he helped Mon Mothma last season to launder money for the Rebellion. The only way Tay was able to smooth things over was with help from the father of the groom from the episode who is like a mob boss type guy. She's giving up her daughter to keep the Rebellion safe essentially and it's fucking her up. Now Tay is blackmailing her for more money and Luthen has him killed for this. Hope that helps y'all. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Those that don’t follow the mon mothma stuff is it because you don’t remember season 1? It’s straightforward if you do.
He's Cassian's boss in their cell of the Rebellion whose alter ego is a curiosities dealer in Coruscant and brought the statue for the newlyweds.
We haven’t watched episode 3 yet, but in the first two episodes Tay is is kinda just alluding to needing money, but isn’t straightforward about it. I got it, but I could see some confusion at first.
rich white people dancing while undocumented workers get disappeared in the fields they did say this was a timely show
This is still doing the four 3 episode arcs with a year time jump between each arc right? So the next three episodes will be BBY3? If that is so then Mothma officially resigning from the imperial senate and openly becoming the public leader of the Rebel Alliance over the Ghorman incident as depicted in Rebels should be in episodes 7-9 as they took place in BBY2.
