It started off a little slow for me but wow did it knock it out the park after the first few eps. I think I could have benefited from rewatching Rouge One before this but yeah all other Disney+ shows should take note from this.
Fucking ay, what an episode. Kino's speech, Luthen's speech, the ultimatum given to Mon. 10/10 no notes. The way they framed Luthen as the villain in that hallway was undeniably chilling. I'm quite certain Kino fucking drowned escaping, but god damn what a beautiful ending for that character.
Maybe some of his 5,000 new best friends helped him swim to shore...? It's the least they could do for him.
Like is it really that hard to make good Star Wars content like this all the time? I truly don’t understand.
There is at least logic to this line. Sand is rough and gets everywhere. Can’t believe I felt forced to defend this line in light of the god awful TROS quote.
do we see him go over the edge? i kinda took it as, after all that resistance and uprising and leading the way, he's still now trapped there forever and ultimately will probably be killed by the empire once the dust settled.
when you're focusing more on fan service than quality content, yeah i think so lol i am a littttttttttttle worried that they'll find a way to shoehorn palpatine or vader into S2 of this
I don't think he would have stayed on the platform after all that. I took it as he eventually jumped or was pushed over, but probably drowned. It seems like Cassian was going to try and grab him to swim with him, but was pushed over himself. I think the fact that we only saw Cassian and Melshi at the end implies that a good amount of the prisoners didn't end up making it.
from that interview posted a little back it sounded like they have pretty much free reign on what the story is and aren't being told what to do by Disney higher ups, their only restriction seems to be budgetary and maybe time
After spending so much time on Tatooine between Mando, Obi-Wan and The Book of Boba Fett, I'm starting to come around to that line... I do, indeed, hate sand. I was thinking about this, and I think this might be the only Star Wars series that could actually be enjoyed by a non-Star Wars fan. The story is just really good on its own and the plot is really tightly written. It doesn't take a whole bunch of easter eggs and fan service to make it enjoyable. You really don't even need to know any lore.
Palatine would not be a "shoehorn." He's literally the Emperor of the Galactic Empire. Maybe I'm misunderstanding though. Not related to above but it's a real bummer that any time something people love come out it's gotta be used to put down other content. Mandalorian is a wonderful show and the other shows each had their moments. We can like one thing without hating on another.
