Maaaaaaaaan yeah okay this is the Star Wars I didn’t know I wanted. Just so good. That flight at the end there holy shit.
The heist absolutely ruled. The visuals of the eye were better than I imagined and made for a thrilling getaway. But my favorite bit had to be the turn from Cousin Richie. RIP to Karis, but I knew he was dead the moment Cassian said the “excitement will bring you back to life” (or something along those lines).
I put this on my Facebook earlier. “My favorite seemingly unimportant part of this episode was something probably nobody else cares about. I loved seeing the TIE fighter pilots actually climbing into their cockpits, booting it up, and bringing it all online ready to go. I don’t think we’ve ever seen this in live action before. It’s so mundane. It was a new thing within Star Wars. I think the closest we got was in The Force Awakens when Poe and Finn make their escape. If I recall correctly, we only see them right as they sit down. We don’t see them climb on top and drop through the hatch. I love little moments like that.”
I've been so sucked into the more "realistic" vibe of this show that it almost threw me off when the doctor at the end was not human. Is he the first on the show? Fantastic fucking episode though
The first alien on the show? no. Do you not remember the huge alien tough guy that was there to intimidate Andor?
That might be only minor gripe with the show so far is that it has been almost entirely humanoid. Makes sense with anything to do with the Empire but some of the other planets I would assume would be more than just humans. And yes, that Tie fighter sequence looked awesome
There were the yellow skinned humanoids in the first or second episode. They were in the flashbacks and crashed their ship on Cassian’s home planet when he was a kid.
I wouldn't mind a few more aliens, but it's probably not cheap to do a bunch of alien costumes and effects so I understand why it's mainly human characters.
goddamn this was great. big RIP to Lawther's character, knew that was coming but it still stung I mighta missed it while shit was hitting the fan, but what happened to Gorn? did he die too?
obviously anything on wikipedia is taken with a grain of salt, and i'd like to rewatch the episode today to see if you can see any better, but wiki's plot summary says Gorn and Tamaryn are both killed during the firefight in the hanger.
Hmm. That's probably a fair description. It seemed purposely vague to me on screen, but I'd have to watch it again.
Just watched 5 and 6. This is great, and looks great, but I think I'm gonna watch the rest of it in threes, idk makes more sense to me that way.
THE 4 ARMED DOCTORS NAME WAS DR QUADPAW I actually said “oh no!” Out loud when I saw what happened to Nemik. I don’t remember the last time I did that during a tv show
Being crushed by the money was not how I thought he'd go out. It wasn't gory, but that is conceptually one of the most brutal deaths I've seen in SW.
and it wasn't even like he got blasted or anything, he was killed by the very thing they robbed in an accident
an amazing metaphor for capitalism too if you read it that way lmao that character could have been very one dimensional but the combination of the excellent writing and Lawther's performance... man it just sung. you can easily see why this kid could be the spark that gets Cassian's rebellion flame roaring. god this show is great lol
