I’ve learned to be cautiously optimistic when he’s on a project instead of fully hyped by this point lol Fuck yeah, can’t wait to hear a new verse by the GOAT then
Yeah, this is pretty good. On first listen, there’s less “wow” moments than there were on Oxnard, but it’s probably his most focused, cohesive album yet. Really, really smooth. Going to be the perfect spring/summer album.
Wow, this is stellar. On the first pass, I loved every song. Winners Circle baaaangs This record made me realize that I like Oxnard a lot less than I forced myself into thinking I did lol
This is really great as expected and definitely feels like its own thing apart from both Malibu and Oxnard. Love it.
Wow this is one of the best things I've heard, Make It Better is going straight on my best songs of the year playlist, it's making me have feelings I didn't know I had
3 Stacks fucking goes in as usual EDIT: but Paak honestly matches him on "Winners Circle", that verse is unbelievable
...I guess I stand alone in liking Oxnard more than this. I really, really fucked with that album but both times I've heard this one I've kind of just zoned out for a good portion of it (though it obviously has some amazing highlights like Andre's verse, Make It Better, Reachin' 2 Much, Winner's Circle and the last song). I do like rap more than R&B in general though to be fair
the sun is shining bright here today, what a perfect day to listen to this album three times in a row
Wasn’t it released around the same time? Guess I just assumed Gave me the wrong vibe anyways but if that’s not the direction he’s heading then great
Can anyone point me in the direction of a video of his Coachella set? I caught about half on the livestream but it's gone now.
I feel the opposite as what the critical reception on these past two albums was. I really enjoyed Oxnard, and this did absolutely nothing for me
