The Refrain is super catchy, looks like the record will have rockier vibes? I guess but we will see.

 

Honestly? Sounds like Anberlin if they'd wanted to stay interesting. Chorus has similar vibes to Dance Dance Christa Paffgen.

song is solid, not sure about the mixing, lol. will be interesting to hear the full album

 

Not a huge fan of the start of the song but the chorus/the rest is great

 

Ordered that vinyl with haste...A&B vinyl eventually goes out of print/sells out and represses seem unlikely.

Still don’t know how this one will shake out. Interesting sounds for sure but don’t know if it’s scratching that itch I want from A&B

Not feeling any of this album unfortunately.

 

I feel like I just woke up from a weird dream where Stephen was on the new Anberlin record but it sounded like western music from a bygone era.

This never got as normal as I hoped it would, but then I would enjoy whatever it threw at me anyway cause Stephen's vocals are so good on this.

Weird album. But also really good? I need a few more listens to begin to process it.

 

I am so happy when someone can articulate what I feel exactly. Definitely agree with the above statements. I am also glad that he is always trying to find some new styles with A&B records. Probably this will be more of a miss with people than a hit but this album definitely has a unique mood to it.

 

I forgot this is out. Western music from a bygone era doesn’t sound like it’s for me.
