I’m just going to pretend their trolling everyone until we have something definitive. Didn’t someone say they met up together for the first time post-Anberlin a month or so ago? They may have just taken this photo then. The question is why, ha!!
Atonement is like a sequel to Art of War, coincidentally one of my other favorite Anberlin songs. They're heavenly.
I can see it. "I found peace, in a foreign atonement", kind of sounds like "There are songs, I'll never write".
Atonement is actually easily my second least favorite track on the album after harbinger, idk it’s just too slow/boring.
The only tracks on Lowborn I don't love are Birds of Prey, Armageddon, and Velvet Covered Brick. Everything else is pretty peak Anberlin.
K it’s gotta be done: Velvet covered brick/losing it all Armageddon Stranger ways Dissenter We are destroyer Hearing voices Birds of prey Atonement Harbinger
I bet they only updated their website so that we would all come back here and rank their albums again
Works for me!!!! Cities Lowborn Vital/Devotion Never Take Friendship Personal Dark is the Way, Light is a Place New Surrender Blueprints for the Black Market I’d like to be congratulated on what must be my tenth Anberlin album ranking in this thread. Psyched for number 11!
And Lowborn songs: Atonement Losing it All Stranger Ways We Are Destroyer Dissenter Armageddon Birds of Prey Harbinger Velvet Covered Brick Hearing Voices
Top three songs from every Anberlin album. Go. Blueprints: Readyfuels, Cadence, Naive Orleans NTFP: Paperthin Hymn, Symphony of Blase, Time and Confusion Cities: Dismantle Repair, Unwinding Cable Car, Fin New Surrender: The Resistance, Blame Me Blame Me, Feel Good Drag DITW: Impossible, The Art of War, Down Vital/Devotion: Self-Starter, Type Three, Modern Age Lowborn: We Are Destroyer, Atonement, Hearing Voices
Naive Orleans Dance, Dance Christa Paffgen Dismantle. Repair. The Resistance Pray Tell Self-Starter Hearing Voices
Well, I got five out of seven between our lists, haha. DDCP is undeniably the most ambitious song on NTFP, but I'unno, it doesn't hit me in the feels the way *Fin does (as far as album closers go), or even Symphony of Blase/Time and Confusion as regular tracks. Ditto for Pray Tell -- the most interesting stylistically in DITW, but Down is also low-key one of the most underrated and powerful acoustic jams in Anberlin's discog and needs more credit.
