I don't have a favorite album. Just songs. A list of songs that make me feel more emo than they should sometimes. and I love it.
Yeah I get that and that's why I said it may rub some people the wrong way. I remember they def said this wasn't going to be a situation where they came back lol. I'd still be so down for it.
So...in case nothing happens...I’ve got some Anberlin music to share in the form of something called Lost Songs II if anyone would like it. If the first LA was Never Take->Cities..think of this as NS->Lowborn I’ll share the tracklist when I get home
Are you saying you have access to Lost Songs II per se, that is songs from New Surrender to lowborn? Yeah, I think all of us are interested in that, haha.
Semi hot take: Vital > Cities > Dark is The Way > Never Take Friendship Personal > New Surrender > Lowborn > Blueprints I think Dark is the Way, Light is a Place is super underrated.
I’m on board with this. Id probably say Cities over Vital and NTFP over Dark, but otherwise this is my rankings. And those two are the two closest calls for me
I really do think that their last three albums are a cut above the rest, I know that's not the popular opinion here. Also I think the songwriting and instrumentation on these three are a cut above the rest.
Dark is way underrated. Even if it doesn’t surpass a lot of their records that’s more a testament to the quality of those rather than a knock on dark. I prefer blueprints to NS easily too.
Digging all of this Vital love. Came out at such an important part of my life. Cities and Vital are my top two. The rest I can try and rank later ha.
What I find exciting about whatever this is that they're teasing is that they could've easily written and recorded an album (or maybe just a single) without anybody knowing, seeing as Lowborn was written by all of them working individually and emailing files and songs back and forth to each other to add to. Then there were those photos posted on social media a couple months ago or whenever, of all five of them together, which could've been a recording session. And enough time has passed now for mixing/mastering... But it'll probably just be a reunion show in Florida or something.
Between this and a potential Copeland album this year... ...color me excited. EDIT: I just realized that the last time both of those bands released albums was in 2014.
If we ever get new music, what excites me the most is that if Lowborn is an indication of where they were moving towards, they could go in any direction. I know that its uncohesive feel is off putting and that it doesn't flow that well, but it also contains many of their best songs. On a side note, we didn't see anything come out of the recording sessions Acceptance hinted at earlier this year right? If both bands are coming back, 2019 is shaping up to be a great year for pop rock stans.
So like I said, from NS->Lowborn (Really Devotion) Tried to compile the professional tracks and find some HQ tracks here and there to make it my own. I'm betting a good amount of you already the actually b-sides from these albums but I included those as well. The only 2 caveats are, the first two tracks are from their first two albums and I couldn't find anything from Lowborn. 1. Autobahn (Acoustic) 2. New Fast Automatic 3. Said and Done 4. A Perfect Tourniquet 5. Heavier Things Remain (Graviora Manent) 6. Breaking (Live Acoustic) 7. Feel Good Drag (Acoustic) 8. Retrace (Acoustic) 9. Mother 10. True Faith 11. Feel Good Drag (Instrumental) 12. Take Me (As You Found Me) (Last fm Session) 13. Art Of War (UK Live Session) 14. All We Have 15. I’d Like To Die 16. Hell Or High Water 17. Self-Starter (UK Live Session) 18. Someone Anyone (UK Live Session) 19. Little Tyrants (UK Live Session) 20. City Electric (AXS TV) 21. Impossible (Acoustic) 22. I’d Like To Die (Acoustic) 23. Down (Acoustic) 24. Someone Anyone (Acoustic)
Hearing Voices is actually great- you got me there. Atonement is just alright and We Are Destroyer is cool but it never really goes anywhere because it's so repetitive just like Dissenter.
