    Things have changed.

How many votes will "Younglife" get? 1? 0? -6?

Retrace = Anberlin being Maroon 5

Younglife = Anberlin being Jason Mraz

Both = Anberlin being not very good

Yes the flow is off and it is a bit disjointed.i like your box of chocolate assessment.

I've always felt like it flowed fine and felt like a cohesive whole it's just poorly written.

Haight Street takes out Retrace, 10-5. On to the rest of the matchups:

Haight Street Vs. Burn Out Brighter (Northern Lights)

Breaking Vs. Blame Me! Blame Me!

    Breathe Vs. Younglife

Disappear Vs. Miserabile Visu (Ex Malo Bonum)

    Feel Good Drag Vs. Mother

A Perfect Tourniquet Vs. Said and Done

Heavier Things Remain Vs. True Faith

    Soft Skeletons Vs. The Resistance

ugh i thought this about Haight as well

I want to like Burn Out Brighter but it has always struck me as just a smidge too melodramatic.

Breaking was a really fun single but Blame Me! is one of my favorite tracks on here, if not my favorite.

I actually kinda like Younglife. *shrug* Do a lot of people hate that one? Why? Too sappy or poppy?

Could never really get into the closer of this album. It felt like they were trying to hit the bar they set with Fin but there just wasn’t enough emotion in it.

I would’ve loved more songs from this band like A Perfect Tourniquet.

Only questionable choice to me was Breaking vs. Blame Me! Blame Me!

The years have been good to Miserabile Visu. Never loved it, but recently it's become a favorite. Hate voting it out first round but Disappear.

Heavier Things Remain has become my favorite Anberlin b-side outside of The Haunting, and I think NS's b-sides are pretty lackluster in general.

Haight Street (Burn Out Brighter is definitely a lot better than Retrace but I still like Haight Street more)

Blame Me! Blame Me! (Blame Me is a middling song on the record, not the worst but not the best. Breaking is my third least favorite song on the album.)

Younglife ( I disagree with all of you here. Younglife ain't bad and Breathe is generic)

Disappear (This was absolutely brutal. These are in the top 3 songs on the record, along with Feel Good Drag. Both are super underrated imo and both are less safe then most of the rest of this album. I would love to see Disappear make it far in this bracket though so I'm giving it the bump. Miserable Visu is definitely a much better closer though than people give it credit for.)

    Feel Good Drag (Easy)

A Perfect Tourniquet (A better song than most of the ballads that made the record for sure. I also like Said and Done a bunch but this has a little bit more interesting stuff going on so i gave it the edge. If both of these songs had made the album in place of Retrace or Breathe, it would have been a much better record honestly.)

Heavier Things Remain (The cover is good but I want to give this song some love because it's pretty good too)

The Resistance (I like both of these songs. The Resistance I feel has a little more energy and emotion to it so it wins)

This was the hardest match up. It’s a great closer and a good song. Would have voted for it against pretty much any other song on this record I think. Tough draw.

Not too difficult of a round for me...I enjoy the covers, but I have a hard time voting for those over their original songs. Heavier Things Remain is my favorite New Surrender b-side.

"Disappear" is fine, but I always found it way too paint-by-numbers Anberlin by this point in their career.
