This has been my favorite on the album since pretty much the beginning.

As for b-sides, i believe they’re all on Long Songs, so i was just going to cap it at Fin unless there are any objections.

 

Cities is going to be tough.

 

I’m not familiar with Long Songs ;)

 

The 8 Bit version of Glass to Arson is the best song on Lost Songs and it would probably win the whole bracket honestly.

 

I expect The Haunting will win

 

You mean until it goes up against 8 Bit Glass to Arson?

 

Glad Time & Confusion made it as far as it did. That song has always struck me as underrated.

Good evening everyone and welcome to Chorus's next iteration of the discography bracket challenges. It is my pleasure to host a bracket for yet another of my all time favorite bands and I’m excited to see how this shakes out. Quick review: these are randomly generated brackets (no seeding!) to determine a winner for each album, which will then face off in a Champions bracket to decide the best overall Anberlin song!

Yea, Voting for Godspeed over that calls into judgment whether someone evens likes the band.

 

Godspeed is great, don't get me wrong. But it's still probably only in the middle of Cities ranking wise. Crazily, the 4 I voted for + Reclusion (which I had a brief internal war about voting for or against) I would consider the top 5 on the album. So next round is going to be easy if all my votes win.

 

Godspeed was the first Anberlin song I ever heard 10 years ago and was what made me fall in love with this band. Can't vote against it

Reclusion is Great Value Godspeed

 

I tried ranking the songs but the top 8 were too difficult. Reclusion’s my favorite but both acoustic songs are flawless. Hello alone and dismantle repair also remind me a lot of each other and I can’t pick one. My only problem with Fin is I think good closers have a weird advantage in the brackets. They’re always different, usually lyrically heavy, and if it’s good I feel like they almost have an automatic run to the finals, so in other brackets I think my mindset is sometimes “we know the closer is great, let the other song advance” lol

 

Jeez this is a stacked matchup.

Reclusion is a great song and I wish they had more like it. I saw them open with it once and it ruled.

Godspeed is an amazing song too, soooo much energy. I would have voted Fin over another other song really but Godspeed is a staple in a ton of my playlists.

 

Reclusion’s verses are top 3-5 anberlin moments for me
