I remain interested in a full album with MEATY. I do like the singles well enough. I’ve always been a casual fan though, I’d not be happy if a similar thing happened with underoath. Also it’s kind of wild in retrospect the way underoath handled Aaron leaving. About as unscathed as you can be bringing in a legend for drums and giving Spencer the green light to do his own thing.
i'd at least give a new Anberlin album with Matty one listen, but given the direction they're going sonically (and the fact that there's been radio silence re: Stephen's involvement with a new album), i'm not expecting anything exceptional.
when i first got into underoath aaron was so central to me being into them that the sheer idea of disambiguation had me offput until i actually jammed it and was hit with one of the best albums i have ever heard
Thanks! Taken on my iPhone…5? Lol I had 2 of these made. One for me and one for my buddy that went with me. Great memento for the end of an era of a great band that no longer exists.
Cities is 19 today, can't believe how close to 20 this one is. I still remember listening to this in my dorm room when it came out. Also getting a copy for RSD in 2011 was a solid win Today I learned that Matt Slocum from Sixpence is credited for the choir and strings arrangements on the album
I'd love for them to do an extended tracklist like they did for the NTFP repress and Emery's The Question.
Shitties EDIT: i'm the third person to make this joke but I'm not deleting it bc I arrived at it organically
