It looks like Carrollhood (Nate’s band) is releasing an album in January. Playing a release show in Florida with Loose Talk (Christian and Deon) and The Lulls I’m Traffic (Aaron from Copeland) on Jan 12.

It was a fingers-crossed emoji. Weird that it's been deleted.

 

I'm glad that they ended things before they became stale, but there are days that I miss this band immensely and wish they were still together.

 

Probably because they figured people would think more of it than it was.

 

What's up with that though? Three profile picture changes and then that tweet. Just seems odd to do that stuff.

Agreed on people reading too much into it though. Myself included haha.

I wish they'd do something else... like release more b-sides or something.

Or, ya know, a video recording of the NTFP/Cities show.

Yeah I was kinda expecting more to be honest. I have way too many band shirts. Glad they did something for the anniversary though.

 

I think most of the b-sides from their later albums are pretty accessibly out there so we likely won't get that :(

Weird. It’s not loading for me either. Tried redoing it but it’s not working.

They posted on Instagram that their former guitarist, Nathan Strayer, has passed away.

 

RIP. He played on two of my all-time favorite albums.

 

So when we do the inevitable Anberlin bracket can we please call it "Never Take Brackets Personal?" TIA.

 

I’ll start it after Christmas. It’s time. And a strong yes on the name.
