They don’t have a 20th anniversary this year, so are we sure it’s a tour? Could their new album be called 20? Or is this a countdown?
Other bands are posting this as well. Emery, Hawthorne Heights, Armor For Sleep. All playing Is For Lovers fests so it's probably related to that. EDIT: Hawthorne's album that Ohio Is For Lovers was on came out 20 years ago it's probably a tribute album with those bands doing covers or something.
It's gotta be for Silence in Black and White. The other bands don't have albums that came out in 2004. Was hoping tour, but I guess we'll find out. EDIT: Definitely a tour
Scratch what I said earlier. If this is what I think it is, UØ might be involved. Would be an absolute massive tour. EDIT: Ignore this as well
20 Years of Tears Tour: Hawthorne Heights & Thursday with Anberlin, Armor for Sleep, Emery, and This Wild Life Tickets | Fargo, ND | Outdoors at Fargo Brewing Company, Fargo ND Doesn’t seem like it
Bummer. Back in Decemeber I talked with Tim and he was suggesting getting Anberlin on the 20th anni shows. Oh well. We'll see who they announce for that then.
For the love of god, ditch Matty and let the vocalists from those other bands (minus HH) take turns singing for Anberlin
Just thought about Toby and Devin trading off vocal lines in Paperthin Hymn and how dope that would be
UO was trying to get anberlin and emery on the TOCS 20 year tour that they are announcing today. the HH/Thursday tour ended up being more lucrative.
Thursday will draw more now becuase of the hype/promise of new music. Also, more bands one the bill=bigger draw
Yeah but we're all old now, no one's back can hold up for a 5-6 band bill anymore. I got kids and work in the morning.
Honestly, there should be one opening band. Let them play for 45 minutes and then the headliner plays.
Anything over 3 bands is a huge con for me at this point in my life lol. Hell, even 3 is pushing it honestly.
I was 12 when TOCS came out, so I imagine I'm actually young compared to their target audience for this tour honestly.
More power to anyone who feels otherwise, but my interest in seeing this band live in "the new era" is zero. This tour is coming close to me and it didn't even cross my mind to get tickets haha.
