Never liked them but this is actually pretty sick. Huge chorus...Sounds like blessthefall. Gonna have to check that album out now
bro, the whole album is like that, i was very impressed. i like it so much, i still listen to it heavily and it came out last year hope you enjoy it as much as i do
There's something about Matty's tone over Anberlin's specific brand of alt rock that makes them suddenly sound... buttrock-y in my head, whereas Stephen's unique vocals gave them such a different flavor. That's been my biggest worry about this new change. Don't get me wrong, he sounds good on the live footage but the version of Feel Good Drag with his vocals feels like listening to Papa Roach (which I like btw) or something.
Stephen posting "LP8" on studio photos...so there will be at least something new...won't just be a combo of the two EPs
Also had Matty in the studio with him so that will be… interesting once they start the release cycle.
Thinking back to 2014, I would not have believed this universe timeline if you had told me back then: -They'll get back together in 2018 - nah, they said they were done done -You'll get two EP's - what? Odd, but bring on the new music -Stephen will step down from touring in 2023 - ok, guess that was inevitable at some point -But Matty Mullins will take over touring duties - weird -Oh and Matty might be on new music, too - wut
i talked to my friend who follows them more and told me how stephen wasn't a fan of touring and was always happy when he was home after a tour so she wasn't surprised that he stepped away. i however was like wat o_0
I guess I mostly interact with music through records, so this won’t affect me too much, but it just feels kinda icky. It feels like everyone in the band is on such separate wavelengths. Reminds me of learning that Lowborn was basically Stephen writing separately from everyone else in the band.
Just bought tickets to the December 15th show. Probably will spring for VIP if it includes a Meet and Greet. Gotta talk to them about how well the first dance went at my wedding.
I was legit in a meeting today and someone said “who’s gonna call on Sunday mornings” and it shook me to my core. They had no idea.
Apologies if this was already done when the second EP originally came out but I combined Silverline and Connected into a playlist and tried it make it flow like an album. I think it works pretty well. 1. Lacerate 2. Nothing Lost 3. Decoder 4. Animals 5. Body Language 6. Banshee 7. Asking 8. Nothing More 9. Circles 10. Two Graves
Just popping in to say that The Haunting just came on a playlist and it truly is a tremendous song. What a wild choice to leave that one off the album.
Got to see them perform it after "Cities" last year and it was incredible! One of my favorites from them.
