I like that album more than Cities to be honest.

 

indeed a terrific album. modern age probably has a top 5 or so chorus for me

 

I love that album a lot.

 

Cities New Surrender and Vital are my 3 favorites but I greatly enjoy all 7 albums to different degrees

 

I fell in love with my girlfriend to Vital after meeting her abroad. That album is amazing.

I was pregaming to Cities last Saturday haha.

 

Vital is up there for sure. I'd only put Cities and NTFP above it.

 

This is one of the few bands I actually believe it when they say they are never coming back.

I think I've said this numerous times to my friends and they believe it too. It was all too sincere in terms of ending it all. I compare it with the Underoath farewell and you could tell they'd be back. Anberlin, not so much. They are done and that is ok with me. For now.

 

I also think Yellowcard might be done too. Both bands did a good job of going out on high note and giving their fan a proper farewell.

 

i didn't get the vibe underoath would be back, at least not so soon. with the documentary release and relatively small farewell tour i thought it was about as sincere as could be. i think anberlin just as a band exude humility and sincerity so it felt right, not that other bands like UO dont, but they're special in that regard.

 

For my own selfish reasons, sometimes I wish it wasn't such a well-thought and executed out farewell so they'd come back someday lol

But it's definitely cool to see a band be able to leave on a high note like that, I like some records more than others obviously but they left us with a lot of different material that's all at least very solid.

It's just Stephen. He has posted about it on his own social media. I don't imagine that it was his decision to use the Anberlin logo... almost gave me a heart attack when I saw that, too.

 

ohhh.......that makes more sense. Yeah, you'd think he'd use his Anchor and Braille title instead if it were his choice.

 

So, I just got this done. Question: is this weird as shit looking mirrored, or is my OCD just fucking with me? I thought I'd mirror it so it would be a left hand on my left arm (since the symbol is normally a right hand). But idk.
