Can we please get a former Tooth and Nail artist tour with Anberlin, As Cities Burn, and The Juliana Theory? Crazy EVR has them all now
hopefully an EP could act as a precursor to a full album. it worked for Acceptance last album cycle, so unless the band and/or Equal Vision have any objections, it could work for them.
I was just hoping for a full length this year, and an EP while we're already halfway through the year feels like a full length won't happen until 2023. Would love to be proven wrong though.
Yeah, now I Remember, but it's strange he used the hashtags for an EP and LP as well. Well, we will see in July for sure.
i feel like around the time they released two graves, they said they had 5 songs done and another 5 written that needed to be recorded. so not sure why that wouldn't be enough for an album but we'll see i guess
Barely. They played SILYAYD in full at Furnace Fest last year (I went - it was awesome) but they really haven’t played much since. It’s a mega bummer since their last record, Scream Through The Walls, is incredible and painfully underrated/unknown.
Obviously stoked for any new music but I’d personally rather just wait for a whole album than get an EP first
Yeah an EP (or even singles with no prospect of an album until next year) would be an unpleasant surprise. I know, I’m being selfish, they can do what they want. Just thought it would be an album after what they’d previously said in the livestreams so my expectations are now looking misplaced. Any new Anberlin is going to be worth it.
I’m sure the pandemic and the inability to tour played a role. Plus they probably got more songs done in the time since they announced the album. I’m optimistic about whatever they do tbh
I’m honestly down for an Anberlin EP. An LP would obviously be preferred, but getting a sort of teaser for the band moving forward before we get a full length doesn’t sound too bad either. I’m happy with whatever they do, just glad they’re back.
Ep is supposedly coming out on the 29th of July and 5 tracks long. Worst case scenario they go the same route as the last acceptance album and do a 5 track ep and then the next 5 for the full album (I really hope this isn’t the case though)
