No way. They’re gonna do the Lowborn stream. They gotta. And they’re gonna drop the new record all of a sudden when they do.
Listened to Heavy Lies The Crown today. Honestly the first three songs are rough for Stephen’s voice but after that, he sounds superb. Some of my favorite tracks they’ve done live
Take Me As You Found Me sounds so bloody good here, like better than the album recording. On that note, one thing I've taken away from these live albums is the prevalence of synths and keys in alot of their songs that got buried in the original recording/mix. Songs sound so much more interesting and I hope they go down that path on the new record.
7th Anniversary of Lowborn today Going to give this one a spin and hope they do a livestream for it Saw on Spotify that Christian was listening to Hearing Voices so announcement soon? Or maybe just reminiscing?
Someone asked on Anberlin’s Twitter if there was gonna be a Lowborn album stream to round out the series and Stephen liked it, so... unofficially confirmed?
Today seemed like the perfect day to announce it if they had one planned. I hope it happens at some point
Nate has an IG clip of Stranger Ways playing along with a non-descript, blurry red background...possibly setting up effects/art for a livestream?
Oooo ya!! Would love if they did The rollout for Lowborn was odd to me only because we knew they were done and no songs would make it to the live set with a couple expectations but I’ve always wondered how they would sound live
My (maybe too hopeful) theory: they do the Lowborn stream a night or two before the real tour starts. Seems like it would be easiest since they’d already have to be together anyway. Of course, I’d prefer sooner. But I will be sad af if they don’t do it at all. It would drive me crazy forever having live versions of every record but Lowborn.
Another Nate IG hint...lights/background, I think? If they're gonna do it, I bet its happening before the tour.
I’m telling you... They need to do the Lowborn show and just surprise everyone by playing the new record and dropping it right after. It doesn’t make much sense to not drop it before the tour, right?
I think if it was going to drop before or during the tour, the tour ads and everything would probably already be branded with whatever the album title’s going to be. I’d be surprised if we get the album this year. but I’d love to be wrong!
Could be right. They did rebrand so maybe the new look is a well-thought out, intentional connection to the new album...but I don't think they're in a rush.
Not sure if this was posted when it came out, but I just ran across it today and found it a pretty fun listen: Nate on the BadChristian podcast, mostly just reminiscing with the Emery guys about old tours, but also a good conversation about Anberlin’s breakup and reunion. Matt & Toby: Nate Young from Anberlin
I found his insight as to what inspired them to do the livestreams and new album vs their original plans very interesting. Def a worthwhile listen.
