it was pretty cool. Stephen went up first and played an anberlin song, then a few Anchor & Braille songs, then Christian went up and did a bunch of Loose Talk songs before finishing his set with So Contagious. He mentioned that he didn’t want to play any acceptance, since he wasn’t the singer, but he knocked it out of the fucking park with his version. After that, they were on together and ran through a ton of anberlin stuff. The show lasted a little over two hours total. They mentioned how Anberlin originally had plans to tour in July, and Christian mentioned that Acceptance has a new album coming this year, but didn’t give any timeframe or details beyond that
Nate is the guest on a new episode of the Bar Down Breakdown Podcast. Lots of discussion on Anberlin history, old Tooth & Nail bands/records, and other cool stuff.
Bought the laminate bundle! So bummed we could've gotten another tour this year....I traveled for 4 dates last year! Happy to support in the little ways I can.
Just came here to say I'm listening to Cities again for the first time in a while and this album is so perfect. (*Fin) is incredible, definitely the best song they've ever written
I always found it funny that they would defend removing the screaming in the new version of feel good drag by saying they don’t do that anymore... and then start the album with a song where he does pretty much the same thing lol
Haha that's fair. I guess I just don't get why that bothered people so much tbh. Both are great versions of the song. I understand preferring the scream, but otherwise, I think New Surrender's recording is a huge improvement
Cities is a top 10 perfect album in my life and I mean that. Absolutely stunning and I still listen to it regularly. When New Surrender came out I really underrated it, now I love it a lot more.
