“I don’t know if we’ll ever tour again”

Two days later: festival date announced.

(I know festival appearances aren’t the same as touring, but I’d be shocked if this was the only show they’ll have this fall.)

(Sorry, I still love this band but I’ve become very cynical about how they’re handling their comeback.)

 

I’m fully prepared for another fall tour and an album next year or 2021. Haha

I was kind of annoyed with it at first, but I just decided to let go and enjoy the ride. Seeing them a couple weeks ago reminded me of how much they mean to me, so I’m just glad they’re back.

I'm excited and ready to roll with whatever punches they throw.

 

Hate to bump this thread with my peddling nonsense, but would anyone be interested in the VIP merch bundle from the past tour? (Poster, White pin, fingers crossed tote bag).

Asking for $35 shipped in the US. Willing to negotiate on price as these stuff is just sitting in my place.

 

I won’t be surprised if they announce a fall tour soon.

 

New show announced December 20. With Loose Talk and Carrolhood.


Fully expecting something big to be announced next year. Can’t believe they announced their reunion about a year ago.

New Surrender is 11 today

 

11 years of feel good drag without the scream. Tsk tsk tsk.

 

Remember exactly where I was when I first heard it (think it was an early leak b/c I was down at the Jersey Shore in August). Those opening notes of The Resistance were such a jolt of energy. I was so excited to take it all in. Not my top anberlin album, but I still enjoy it and it came right when I needed it, as most of their albums have done.

How would you like them to handle it?

 

You know I posted that 5 months ago, right?

I would like them to stop being cryptic and just be honest about what their plans are so that I can go back to taking their words at face value. They have a big enough and passionate enough fan base to not need to be cryptic and vague in order to stir up excitement. Their fans are already thrilled to have them back, they don’t need to be teased and toyed with.

I wouldn’t ask this of every band, but I would ask this of a band who broke up with such finality and certainty and then reversed it just a few years later. They don’t need to say “we don’t know if we’ll tour again.” They will.

 

NTFP turned 15 yesterday

 

The original Chain Fest a few years ago was a HUGE day for me, lots of great memories. This is a dope lineup and I’ll absolutely be there!!
