lukewarm reception of lowborn has always kind of baffled me

 

Y'all are crazy, chorus of Art of War is so good. the background ahhhh's are so good.

 

Yeah i dunno, that chorus works for me too.

 

I love the ahhh’s. The chorus just sounds... I don’t know... stifled? Like the verses and bridge sound so full and then the chorus ironically doesn’t. It might be the production as much as the instrumentation. And the lyrics aren’t my favorite.

 

Booooooooo. Always felt Blame Me was one of their most underrated songs

 

Blame Me! is fantastic. One of my favorites (maybe my #1) from that album.

 

Blame Me is def a standout from that album. That and Disappear are probably tied for my two favorites.

 

Blame Me holds up and Breaking doesn’t for me

 

And I hate Retrace.

Just needed to get that out.

 

i have always hated retrace haha

 

I shall continue the positive ~~ vibes ~~ and say Blame Me! is top tier.

Also not sure why but Younglife is very nostalgic to me.

 

Blame Me! Blame Me! has aged better than almost any Anberlin song for me. It’s not my favorite on NS, but it’s up there and I really didn’t like it much when the album came out.

Retrace is weak sauce.

I forgot about Haight Street. That’s definitely my favorite from NS, with Blame Me! coming in second.

Out of the poppier songs on NS, Haight Street is the best by a good mile or 2.
