Wow you can hear Underoath's influence all over this. Tim and JJ really pushing them to their limits. I love it!! I think this EP is going to be on the heavier side considering Decoder is also a heavier one as well. I can barely hear Stephen on Lacerate though. I am really looking forward to this and only ~20 days away!
Are all the songs pretty aggressive or just the first two? Was wondering if they're experimenting more with the heavy sound on this one or if it was just a couple songs.
I like this song but I would not have been able to tell you it was Anberlin if you played it for me without me knowing
I don't think it's any more or less heavy than kinda what they're known for ... Vital like. Aggressive, but I wouldn't really say it's like overly heavy. "Banshee" and "Nothing More" are softer, "Animals" builds.
Gonna echo a lot of the other comments that this don’t immediately sound like Anberlin to me, but that it is really good. Stephen & Christian’s voices sound awesome together, a lot of contrast between the two.
Digging this alot. I wonder if they'll play on the duel vocalists more moving forward. It definitely adds a bit of variety.
Like the new song but I definitely agree with what people are saying about there being “a lot going on”. Think there’s a lot of cool things in their recent songs but it’s harder to distinguish the sounds going on. Not exactly muddy but not very clear. Really enjoying more music from them still though
