    Hopefully they take this time and reconsider having Matty on vocals. Not likely I know, but a man can dream.

    On a recent drums podcast nate made the quick offhand comment that alluded to matty probably being a permanent thing. im not sure how much was flippant vs just letting his true feeling slip out, but that really stuck out to me like "hmmmm:/"

    It feels that way. The original announcement was that Stephen would record in the studio, and Matty would tour. But then they started releasing recorded tracks with Matty on vocals. So it sounds like that's the direction they're going.

    I also don't understand not just getting a touring guitarist.

    The dude wants to be home for his, presumably, ailing family, and that's your response? Geez, tough crowd. If they did get a fill-in, there'd be a ton of people saying "well it's only 3 real members of the band now, so what's the point?"

    They literally just said they have 9 songs ready for a full length with Matty, he's not going anywhere.

    That’s too bad. I’ll just listen to the back catalogue as Matty’s vocals are bland and awful. Thank goodness there’s Anchor and Braille. Putting him in there to replace Stephen was not a good idea. I think Matty would be an alright vocalist in an entirely different band, but not like this. Seriously, if you’re going to go on without Stephen just change the name and do something different. Whose idea was it to bastardize their discography by putting out new material with a new vocalist when Stephen is irreplaceable? I’ve given the Matty stuff a chance it just isn’t it.
