Also the splatter analysis people were so absurd but it’s sadly not that different from how real life forensic “scientist” morons act. The notion that someone can take a couple blood marks and extrapolate an entire detailed event from it is complete clown shit lol

Trying to decide if Daniel not speaking English or passively aggressively only speaking French is worse

Yeah Hulu has a deal with NEON films so it will be there in the US eventually. Not sure about the deal outside the Us

i simply wouldn’t have done that to my dog

  9. That scene with the dog is the most I’ve gasped at a movie before. Just couldn’t believe they went there

Holy fuck. Give that dog an Oscar. Like that had to be some digital trickery because how did they get him to do that.

Oh also this was incredible all around. I’m going to be thinking about it for a while.

Between this and Saint Omer I’ve learned a lot about French court this year lol

I keep seeing good things about this and our theater has it for a few more days. Gonna try and cut out of work early on Wednesday to catch it.

This was heavy but I loved it. Echoing all the sentiments about the dog - like, how?! Need to sit with it for awhile. Did anyone else’s subtitles not always sync up or kinda glitch? Noticed that a couple times in my showing.

I think I lean one way about did she/didn’t she but I do love the ambiguity of the final shot. Really though the movie is definitely about how we are all monsters under a microscope.

I was hoping to see this over the break next week but it is disappearing from every theater in a 100 mile radius tomorrow.

They only showed it once at mine and it was a surprise showing so I didn't even know if it would actually be this. I was hoping for it though so I'm glad it was.

Have to get lucky to see a film? That’s wild.

There is a showing at 3:30 just down the street. School ends at 3:30 but it would take at least fifteen minutes to get out of the parking lot. I might have my neighbor watch my students for the last three minutes to give myself a running start.

It is only 8 students, but there is a student who refuses to read the curse words in The Catcher in the Rye so I don't think they will be game for a movie like this.
