Seems like a lot of leftists are very anti jacobin/dsa. Anyone know why this is?

Seems like there's a fairly large group of communists on twitter, at least, who disparage them. I'll see if I can find any specific examples
I've got no idea who that is, but I see where you're coming from with those articles, so, fair enough, thanks

Yea, there was also one calling NFL players workers around the superbowl and one/several writers promoting/enabling transphobic shit.

As for the DSA and just in general, you're comparing to people who are truly revolutionary socialists.

Should be noted tho that those kinds of articles by Jacobin tend to be web-only. The actual magazine has plenty of silly material but they tend to be small blurbs separated from the legitimate content

Jacobin comes through with something good from time to time. They could do better though. It has more people getting interested in labor politics, which is a plus.

Jacobin is pretty solid for introducing people to socialism, I think, or at least anti-capitalism. I know some big-time Hillary supporters who have started taking cues from it who are now, like, criticizing Cory Booker. I used to be a stan for it, but I hate how intersecionality-averse they can be. That shit needs to be stamped out.

I'm interested in the DSA because of the sense of identity they're building (branding, for lack of a better word). I think creating an anti-capitalist culture is good and necessary. Ya'll can guillotine them after they've guillotined Goldman-Sachs, if you want -- I don't want them to kill Rosa Luxemburg either.

For my money Jacobin's always had good content regarding environmental policy and the crisis of fossil capitalism, particularly through criticizing the inadequacy of the Paris Agreement, carbon markets, etc, that most liberals revere.

I generally like them -- I will cancel my subscription if they don't address the Kilpatrick comments, but i'd still read their articles when they are good. I'm torn because I reeeeeallly want to build anti-capitalism in the US/midwest and don't want to be puritanical about who participates in that project, but also I want to make sure the leftists involved in that movement are as intersectional and thoughtful as possible, and that the approach is holistic.
