Anadivine Release 2024 Remix of ‘Zoo’

Wow deep cut. Alcohol and Oxygen with the Claudio feature was my jam. Would love to have this one on vinyl.

 

Ok so what's the full story here. I am listening to Alcohol and Oxygen right now, these are brand new vocal takes, the instrumentals sound like more than just remixing and remastering, they sound like brand new recordings. Is this just a 2024 full re-record, "Anadivine's Version"? It sounds really good though, pretty cool.

what?? The vocals sound absolutely different, am I crazy haha?? And what about all the instagram videos of playing new drums, was that just to show a playalong rather than new recording?

 

I'm getting all warm and fuzzy and nostalgic listening to this.

 

The version of Alcohol & Oxygen here has the screaming breakdown part from the EP version, definitely not on my cd copy of Zoo! Was it originally recorded that way then cut from the original Zoo release?

Everything sounds great, did my part on Bandcamp, looking forward to whenever you’re able to release that final song!

 

Yeah the screaming stood out because I didn't remember hearing it on the original mix for all these years.

I love rediscovering a hidden classic like this. Still enamored with the way the album flows. I haven't heard another emo album that does what this does to me.

 

I've said it elsewhere but I still prefer the EP over this. HOWEVER, this was a tremendous followup and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest when it came out. It was just different than I expected and I still have super fond memories of when this came out. I really really really hope someone decides to press this on vinyl.

 

I hope by absolutely different that means you still like them! I mixed the “re-release” of Zoo so it makes me really happy that you are hearing it in a new way. That was definitely one of the goals of this project.

Regarding the drum videos they are just me playing along to the songs in my studio. Absolutely nothing was re-recorded for Zoo (2024). Thank you for checking it out!

Yes, the breakdown and screams were edited out of the original version of Alcohol and Oxygen on Zoo. I really don’t know what the hell we were thinking back then! Thank you so much for the support!
