Ok I feel you then. If you've already missed a couple, this one definitely feels the most skippable from this show in a while. 4 was garbage I almost didn't make it through myself. I think coming off Apocalypse which was a huge event season tying in so many others, its kind of jarring to go back to one that seems like it'll be completely unrelated.
I think I'll just DVR this and wait to hear what people think about the premiere. The teasers just haven't been really interesting to me
Yeah I think the strengths of the episode were also the weaknesses. It's totally and completely a tribute to classic slashers, but it also is... cheesy, the characters make really dumb choices, and the bad guy just happens to come back... lol
Haven’t watched since the Circus one and haven’t finished a season since the first one. Watching this now
So far this doesn’t feel like AHS at all. The theme being so different threw me for a loop. The scene with everyone meeting at the gym also gave me that awful soap opera effect. Trying to figure out if that was intentional or not. It’s the only one so far with that look. Cody’s hair makes me happy though. Gus’s acting is......... as expected.
“Girls are red, boys are blue, we don’t make purple,” is some DEEP camp culture though. So someone did their research and I had to leave the room from laughing so hard.
All right, so who wants to place bets on how this goes off the rails/what the real story is? My vote is for a simulation or other unreality.
*Gas station attendant tells them they're going to die at the camp* *Nobody thinks to ask why he said that* And *Guy bounces off the van's fucking windshield* "OMG did we hit him!?" "Nah, I don't think so" Lmao this show.
As someone who went to a christian camp twice yearly all of high school, that exact speech was dead on and pretty amazing haha
I don't get why people don't like Roanoke but like Freak Show not the first time I've heard it anyway
I have a tooooonnn of reasons for that one. The biggest is probably the characters. The vast majority were either completely awful or easily forgettable or somehow both. And the format made it impossible to care about anyone or anything because it was so detached.
