Damn why does this have to air the same time as Always Sunny on FXX? Why the hell would FX air two of their most popular and successful shows at the exact same time and force them to compete?
Pretty interesting episode, but man were there some corny lines haha. "THE STEW IS STU". That was awesome seeing Michael Langdon at the end. Saw a pretty cool theory on Reddit about how Murder House and Coven could connect that I think makes some sense: " In the trailer we saw the witches were walking through the fog unbothered by the radiation. My guess is Michael is at outpost 3 looking for witches that will survive at the murder house since this is all part of his evil scheme."
I tried to watch it but I was feeling under the weather so I fell asleep halfway through. Maybe tonight or tomorrow though.
I really really enjoyed the premier. I'm very interested to see where it goes. When is this supposed to take place though? I thought they basically said this season was like 2019? But if Michael Langdon is an adult, even if we're just saying he's 20, this has to be at least 2031? Unless its some accelerated anti-christ aging or something but he also had to have enough time to build this shadow organization.
As someone who hated both Roanoke and Cult with a passion, I can’t tell you how excited I am for this season. Just starting the episode and I’m dying to catch up on the subreddit and stuff.
This felt underwhelming. I'm used to each season premier being particularly violent and setting the stage for...something. Also worried I won't remember enough from Murder House or Coven to follow. But it was generally fine. I think Cult just really surprised me.
I typically don't like reading theories, but this Thrillist article helps me remember a lot of Coven/Murder House stuff that could very well be helpful while watching this season. A lot of the theories can't co-exist, so it's not really a spoiler-y read, but if you want to know nothing I wouldn't read it The Best Theories About What's Going to Happen in 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse'
So, I'm about to check out American Horror Story out for the first time! Are the seasons linked? Or can I just jump into any? Thanks guys!
There are some threads that carry through and characters/families that are mentioned but most are not huge. I DO really recommend starting with Murder House into Asylum as it aired. You get the feel for the entire show with season one and season two is generally (and specifically to me) regarded as the absolute best.
If you're trying to get to the new season quick, watch the 1st and 3rd season, and then you should be able to start the new one.
Season 2 is the best. Anything after Freak Show is a total flop, imo. Haven't seen any of the new one though.
I absolutely love Hotel if only for Liz Taylor and how great Gaga was. Totally agreed about Roanoke and Cult though. Apocalypse is definitely a return to form.
Asylum > Freak Show > Murder House > Coven I can't rate Hotel, Cult, or Roanoke as I dropped all of them mid-season. If we were to adjust this to include the American Crime Story seasons just for shits and gigs, I'd put both seasons ahead of Asylum.
I mean, yeah Ameican Crime Story is a whole other level. But, the shows are two completely different things with different intentions, so it's not really fair.
