It really has been. guess we will find out with the opening credits scene (which I'm really excited for).
Being on the West coast, I think I am officially tapping out of this thread til after I watch, adios!
Instant detachment from any of the characters or anything that's going on because it's a "reenactment", idk
I don't know how I feel about that. Didn't love the narrative structure, and it just feels like any old horror movie so far. doesnt have its own identity, which i feel like all the other episodes have even after just 1 episode.
Do you know anything about the lost colony? That's what gives it it's identity, very interesting piece of history
yes i do. i've always been fascinated by it. i don't mean the subject matter, i just mean the way it feels.
The constant reminder that there are no stakes because it's all a reenactment is bothersome. im not sure how to explain what I mean
That's actually what I liked about it (although I'd argue that there definitely are stakes). I've only seen the first episode of Hotel but I'd already say this was much more interesting
Holy shit that was the best episode of this show in a LONG time. Haven't been that genuinely scared at something in a long time either, fuck. Love the documentary-style, super intriguing and really engaging so far
