Lily Rabe was always my favorite actor on AHS and a big reason why I was initially interested in this season and less interested in the last 2 seasons (although, according to her credits she appeared briefly in S4 and S5).
Yeah she reprised her nun role in S4 and played Aileen Wuornos in S5. If you want to watch for her, don't bother with those ones. Her character in S3 got done dirty, still hate that.
So I was mulling over Shelby's actions while I was in the shower earlier, because who knows why, and one other thing. She went back to a place that very nearly killed her, hell it should have killed her, the scariest freaking place imaginable, during the time she KNEW all of that shit would happen again, just to have a chance to talk to Matt. And then oh he's here to fuck that gross witch thing in the basement. It doesn't excuse her actions, but damn.
Oh one other thing I was thinking about too: Sidney owns...owned that house. Don't know where his assets will end up but in my mind this house is going back to auction and the cycle will continue. Even if we assume that the three days in hell stuff made it to air "for real"...humans are curious and dumb.
This is turning out to be my favorite season by far. So Lily Rabe almost gets her arm chopped off, but hours later, she's using both hands to rain Negan-style blows on her husband. It wouldn't have bothered me that much, if they didn't go out of their way to make it look really. I don't care though. Just something I noticed. Also, the real "the Butcher" is creepy as shit. They did a great job with her.
After seeing the person you love having sex then confess his love for someone else I'm pretty sure the pain in your arm is the last thing on your mind.
I loved Cubas "Oh Shit!" at the end of the episode. I am also glad that the show seems to not be taking itself to seriously. Do the other seasons treat themselves the same way?
I'm willing to overlook it based on the powers of adrenaline, but yeeeah. Butcher was fuckin awesome.
I thought she got chopped in her back, not arm, but still just as bad. Would have ripped open the wound and bled out with all that exertion for sure.
So I guess the woman playing the Butcher is Susan Berger. You can see a clip of her in Hannah Montana below lol http://imagesmtv-a.akamaihd.net/uri...uploads/2016/10/Hannah-Montana-1477663592.gif Never heard of her! Hoping she's a great addition, definitely seemed creepy.
I'm loving this season so far. I do think casting Peters and Gaga so briefly as their reenactment characters is wasted potential. But I'm also really glad to have Lily Rabe back. I guess you can't have everything. Ever since it switched to found footage, Rory and Agnes (and Diana) are the only ghost-related deaths so far. Most of the deaths have been Agnes victims. Then of course there's Shelby's one victim. I'm expecting the hillbillies to take at least one as well. I'm hoping for more ghosts deaths, haha. I'm not some expert on foreign horror films, but I always thought ghost girl climbing walls was a Japanese thing, like The Grudge and whatnot? IIRC it was a Chinese immigrant family that moved to the house. Kind of weird to mix cultures like that, but I could be wrong.
