90s indie rock is coming back you guys. Music is a cycle.

Would love for this to actually happen because that music style is one of my favorites and it's what I write for my band

I was 10. My cousin who was in high school at the time gave me a list of his favorite bands. American Football was the first band on the list. Really brought me onto all the music I listen to now. Not that I could really appreciate any of the lyrics haha.

 

Haven't listened to the new single yet but I'm stoked. So happy to be a part of this time for music.

 

Definitely agree with those saying his current voice makes this feel more like an Owen song than an AF one, but the song is good regardless so who cares.

 

i mean it was never going to be that far from owen, but it's the same songwriting team/musicians as AF so it's AF

it's unrealistic to imagine it was going to be really different

 

I ended up buying the gold LP along with their fist one. Surprisingly enough that's not already in my collection.

 

I did not get into American Football (or that era of "Emo" in genreal) until around 2014, which is why I am so hyped, since I was already content with the fact that I have stumbled into loving something that is more or less long gone

Yep got the gold vinyl as well. I have yet to get the EP for whatever reason, but have the first LP twice haha.

 

Drums sounded weird to me at first, but great song overall.

 

I remember playing this on the bus my freshman year of high school during the fall. So like 05? Idk

drums sound better on the download than soundcloud but still not great.

 

i figured soundcloud had to do with it. but at least the guitars sound soooooo good i'm okay with a little bit of bad drums
