American Football - American Football (March 22, 2019) Album • Page 18

Discussion in 'Music Forum' started by jols, Dec 10, 2018.

  1. On their reunion tour, they were a little sloppy, but the second time I saw them (after LP2 came out) they were tight as hell. So I can only assume they’ll be even better on this tour. Can’t wait to see them in June.

PS: looks like this is the setlist for the LP3 tour

For the end of Heir Apparent, they brought out what I believe were their kids all wearing crowns and they did the choir part.

    Got a light?

Seeing them for the first time in May and I'm happy with that setlist, only song I'd like to hear that's not there is Letters and Packages

I’m not sure of how many albums I can think of that feel quite as immersive as this.

Every time I listen to it I feel like I’ve been transported somewhere else. Like I’m swimming underwater in the ocean, but I can breathe and I’m just there. Taking it all in.

Idk. This thing is something else.

It’s a fantastic album, and it’s almost a miracle that a band with this kind of legacy was able to craft something else so magical.

This album rules. A massive step up from LP2 in my opinion.

So many dope songs on here.

Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

Washed Up Emo interview is great. I want all artists to talk about their albums this deeply.

Ok so, as someone who has never listened to this band before, and started with LP3, I gotta say I find it a lot more compelling and interesting than the first album, which seems to be what everyone is obsessed with. I think it's a great album as well, but LP3 just immediately clicked with me. Has anyone else had this experience?

100% me. The other two didn’t click with me and this one is just below Copeland as my AOTY right now.

  17. LP1 was always my favorite emo record, hands down. Hell, it probably still is. BUT LP3 is my favorite AF album now, for sure! It's incredible.

LA show is tonight! Hopefully it’s a longer set than when I saw them with Phoebe Bridgers last year.

  20. Looks like they haven’t played the exact same set twice yet on this tour, which is pretty cool.

Great show in Philly last night. They played 4 songs during the encore, ending with Stay Home/One With The Wurlitzer. This was my second time seeing them and they sounded fantastic.

That was brewed by a brewery 3 min from my house. Picked up a 6 pack when they released if. It’s fine but the can looks nice on my shelf next to lp3

don’t even like pilsner’s tbh, the can design is just too good.
