We got married in the garden that you grew up in
I've never seen so far ahead of me
    Been so blind...
You're buried in the library, just you could hide from me
I've never been so alone, so desperate to be home

This part is so good. This whole thing is so good.

They're great, but the Three Colors trilogy has it beat.

    are we talking Kieslowski?

if so, I agree it’s the better one but also a bit of an apples & oranges kinda situation

    can’t see it beyond “trilogy”

and even so... K’s is more thematic than anything...

this album is pretty much everything I could have asked from them. it feels like a 'true' follow-up to LP1, whereas LP2 (while still good) felt like a deer learning how to walk again. they captured the sound of the first LP and added their own 2019 spin on it.

it has the longer atmospheric post-rock runs, some clever lyrics, and Rachel/Hayley/Elizabeth are all absolutely stunning. I want them to join them on tour SO BAD.

I love how ominous the end of "every wave to ever rise" gets.

  21. thank you for apologizing. i was about to report you. :-)

I love how this doesn't sound like anything else Mike has ever done before, but it also has little glimpses of classic Mike Kinsella in there too to give it just enough familiarity. This album is fucking awesome.

    (not sorry for cursing)
