Watching the 30 for 30 doc on OJ makes me much less critical of Clark and Darden. There were 2-3 jurors that were dead set on getting revenge against the LAPD. It really didn't matter what the prosecution presented. Their biggest mistake wasn't the glove fitting or putting Furman on the stand. It was allowing the trial to take place in downtown LA instead of Malibu. Clark was convinced that female black jurors would A) like her and B) hate OJ.
Gotta wonder if this goes the same route as every other Murphy show. He has a real problem with shows after the first season. AHS, Nip/Tuck, Scream Queens all fell of really fast. This could be very different based on it being based on true events, so who knows.
looks decent enough, but yeah, agreed that this likely won't get the same level of acclaim. nowhere near the same level of star-power.
It’s a simple case of math, really. How many hits does the OJ case get on Google every month vs. Versace’s death? It’s probably 100/1. OJ’s trial is the biggest cultural event of the 90s. That’s just hard to top, and I’m not saying this season will be bad. If I had to predict, I’d say the ratings for season two will at least be cut in half.
I'm finally about to watch the finale after binging it this past week. I watched the first few episodes as they aired but fell off, and just never finished it. It's so good. also I was surprised that someone else revived this thread, and then I saw that it was actually a post about next season and I was like, that makes more sense.
^ came here to ask the same thing? I'm like 1/10th as interested in this as I was in the first season, but if people say it's good, I'm down.
I have it recorded, but like others have said, I'm not overly excited to watch it yet. Although, I've heard good things.
