Been listening to this weird great thing. I think fans of James Ferraro and maybe Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith would dig this.

Couple things today.

Mark McGuire album released and it's stunning and uplifting. Can't really call it ambient to be honest, but highly recommend it.

New Heathered Pearls and Braille collab project.

And a gorgeous new record from Alex Albrecht pres. Melquíades.

For the Sigur Ros and Riceboy Sleeps fans, Alex Somers released his debut double solo album this week. Haven’t listened beyond some clips yet but I can tell it’s fantastic.

No, Mark releases a lot of stuff! He had a few good ones in 2020 alone. This one is his best in a few years by far, in my opinion.

I actually dig this solo stuff more than emeralds

mindblowing to me that no one else has made a mention of the Alex Somers albums!!!

They feel like darker counterparts to Riceboy Sleeps. Beautiful stuff.

Also unrelated but damn the Nashville Ambient Ensemble album is really good. Listening to it now.
