gave this a listen today. really lovely. rec'd if you dig Chuck Johnson, Saariselka, and Andrew Tuttle (lots of pedal steel guitar). Mary Lattimore features on the harp on a few tracks too.
Ordered Hiroshi Yoshimura’s GREEN on vinyl and accidentally received two instead of one copy in the mail. If anyone wants me to ship it to them, i’m selling it for $20. Unopened, perfect quality.
I read up on it a bit and just ordered a copy. I recently have started trying to sleep better so I’ve started listening to ambient music while reading for about an hour before I go to sleep. This book sounds like good company. This is exactly what I’m interested in right now. Also, thanks for reminding me about Saariselka. Completely forgot about that album until I googled the name.
That actually came out in 2011. Must've just been added to Spotify after being removed, or something. Coulda sworn I'd heard that title and seen that cover art before.
Not sure if this belongs here or not, but I did a search on Shabason and this is the only place it came up. This album is a real beauty.
didnt expect The Caretaker to be the next tiktok trend What Happens When TikTok Looks To The Avant-Garde For A Challenge?
Happy that this thread is active again. Here is some recent stuff I really liked: Gia Margaret - Mia Gargaret Carlo Giustini - Colla Austin Cash - All Over Alabama
those Carlo Giustini and Austin Cash albums are v nice. also really dug the Jake Muir record. still spinning that Pausal album every few days too. excited for my transparent purple vinyl to come in
somehow I overlooked this release from early this year. some jazzy stuff with gs schray and aqueduct ensemble member. in a similar vein with some new age vibes, this came out a few weeks ago
Don't know if this was mentioned when it came out in February but I've just come across it. A beautifully intimate mix of acoustic and electronic sounds. Really absorbing.
Really dug that record, been awhile since I last spun it. So many of 2020’s excellent pre-COVID records seemed to slip through the cracks when it all came down. Thanks for the reminder.
Don't think that it has been mentioned yet, there will be a new Ian William Craig album out soon (November 20th), a collaboration with Daniel Lentz.
