Listened to the Laurel Halo record this morning, and it was awesome. A couple albums I’ve been listening to a lot lately that I don’t think have been posted yet: The Glåsbird one is gorgeous, and Sary Moussa’s reminds me at times of Tim Hecker, Ben Frost, and Kara-Lis Coverdale.
One thing that's positive about social distancing is the endless time I've had to listen to ambient. Been obsessed with Chris Zabriskie's discography since posting his most recent album on here. This one in particular is blowing my mind rn. Still need to listen to FUJI||||||||||TA, Laurel Halo, Glåsbird, and Sary Moussa. Gonna try and do that today.
New Jogging House came out of nowhere a couple of days ago and it is really great. Also been listening to this a ton, wonderful guitar loops from the guy behind Teen Daze.
Why Do Birds Suddenly Appear?, by Ahti & Ahti Looks like she released 42 minutes of stuff in March I missed!
For 420, I'm sharing a couple of great ambient albums to smoke to. Each one of these is different from the last, but all pretty trippy in their own way, so hoping there's something for everyone :)
On May 1st, bandcamp will once again wave their fees, so now might be a good time to fill up those carts.
This came out today. It's immense and beautiful. I really liked their last record released on How to Dress Well's label but this one is really clicking for me this morning.
New Kenji Kihara, and the description by the artist is perfect: "A series of songs that slowly fall asleep, like going down a slope."
Looking forward to these Klara Lewis - Ingrid - Boomkat Margins (Craig Tattersall & Daniel Crossley) - I Tired For Hours - Boomkat
